Today, we're diving into something a bit technical but oh-so-essential: the pelvis, specifically the pubic rami. Why? Because understanding these bones helps us find our true center.
Usually, when I talk about the center, I focus on visible parts like the forehead, nose, and sternum. But today, we’re going deeper. When you're truly centered, you gain incredible strength — mentally, physically, emotionally. This is the beauty of somatics, where the mind and body are one.
Let's talk pubic rami. Imagine an upside-down V connecting your pubic bone and sitz bones. Align that V parallel to the ground — this reorganizes your spine from the bottom up. Feel it? Great. (If you can't picture this, I show you in the video. 📺 )
Now, visualize a column extending from that V up through your body, enveloping your heart, throat, skull, and reaching out into the universe. Let it root down between your feet into the Earth. That’s your center.
We’re going to move with that center. Whatever you do, stick with that central column. Ready? Let’s dance!
Move your hips, rock side to side. Feel that column of energy. It doesn't matter if it looks cool; just connect with yourself.
Feel the strength from your core. Place your palms together at your heart, press hard, and feel your muscles and bones. Inhale deeply, let the energy rise and root down, exhale back to center. Feel the space around your heart, up through your skull, down through your pelvis.
This is you. Here and now. Alive. In your center. Anytime you need, return to this place. Remember your inner strength. Trust your center.
Stay centered and strong, my friends. You’ve got this.
